Agricert now offers certification in accordance with the ZERYA® standard, further strengthening its service portfolio in the areas of sustainable agriculture and production with no pesticide residues.
The integration of this standard marks another step in the diversification of Agricert’s certification portfolio, responding to growing demand for production systems capable of demonstrating good agricultural practices, sustainability and a clear commitment to product enhancement.
The ZERYA® standard promotes approaches aimed at reducing the presence of pesticide residues in agricultural products, while also encouraging the adoption of more sustainable production practices aligned with the expectations of consumers and supply chains.
The launch of this new certification coincided with Agricert’s participation, as a partner organisation, in the Regenerative Agriculture and Pesticide Residue-Free Conference, promoted by Clube de Produtores Continente and ZERYA, held on 28 and 29 May at CNEMA, in Santarém.
The initiative brought together producers, technicians, organisations and specialists to discuss topics related to regenerative agriculture, the sustainability of production systems and the challenges associated with reducing the use of plant protection products.
As an accredited certification body operating in the agricultural, agri-food, sustainability, animal welfare and tourism sectors, Agricert continues to monitor the evolution of standards and market requirements, providing services in Portugal and in more than 50 countries.
