The Norma de Calidad del Cerdo Ibérico is an inspection scheme governed by Royal Decree 4/2014 of 10 January, which establishes the quality standard applicable to Iberian ham, shoulder ham and loin, as well as their sales designations and identification throughout the supply chain.

According to the information provided, AGRICERT is the only inspection body in Portugal accredited by ENAC, since 22/07/2022, to UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17020 and for the inspection activities covered by the Protocolo de Inspección published by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.

How to apply
To apply, the operator must follow these steps:

• Request the application form by email at agricert@agricert.pt;
• Once the completed form has been received, Agricert sends the corresponding quotation;
• Confirm acceptance of the quotation to the Inspection Body;
• Sign a contract between the Inspection Body and the operator.
